Straight Flush Meaning – Five Consecutive Cards of the Same Suit
A straight flush card combination is a hand containing five consecutive cards, all of which are of the same suit.
The term is most commonly used in many poker variations, referring to the second-strongest hand in the game, right after the royal flush.
For example, if you have an 8h, 9h hand and the community board after the river reads 10h, Jh, Qh, Ks, 2c, you have a straight flush made of 8h, 9h, 10h, Jh, Qh.
Regardless if someone has an Ace to make a higher-valued straight, any straight flush hand is stronger than the best straight hand.
