Marked cards are those cards that have been intentionally labeled by a player in some way in order to get an edge over other players or the house.

Card marking is almost non-existent in casinos nowadays, as these venues often have tight security and monitor everything over cameras. So, it happens more frequently in home games.

For example, players who engage in card marking can do so by folding the corners of the specific cards they want to keep track of, like Aces or Kings.

That way, when one of their opponents has such a card, they’ll know of it and have useful information that gives them an advantage.
