Face cards is a widely used gambling term across many casino games, and it refers to any Jack, Queen, and King card.

They are called this because, unlike any other card in a standard card deck, they depict people.

For example, this is a term you’ll most likely hear playing casino table card games. If a player at a poker table says: “I had two face cards and was going to call in any situation,” you should know that they’re saying that they had a strong hand containing Jacks, Queens, or Kings.
