Bring In Description – A Mandatory Bet in Many Stud Poker Variations

In some poker variants, especially games like Stud poker, players need to place a mandatory first bet, which is called a bring-in. This is just one of the main types of forced bets, besides antes, small blinds, and big blinds.

That said, the main difference between a bring-in bet and the other three bets is that the bring-in bet is based on card values and various other factors.

For example, in Stud poker games, the player with the lowest-ranked face-up card must pay the bring-in bet. In Razz poker, the player with the highest-ranked hand must pay the bring-in bet.
