Outdraw Description – Turning a Losing Poker Hand into a Winner

The term “outdrawing” means completing a hand by being dealt or drawing cards that significantly improve the hand’s strength, especially if the hand was an underdog before the draw. This term is primarily used in poker.

For example, if your opponent has a straight after the turn and you have two pair, you’re the underdog going into the last round.

But, if you draw the same-valued card as one of your pairs and make a full house, you outdrew them on the river by making a stronger hand at the last opportunity.
