Muck Meaning – A Pile Containing Discarded & Burnt Cards in Poker
A muck refers to the stack of discharged cards in poker. It includes the folded cards of all players and the dealer’s burned cards.
The verb “mucking” is the action of putting your folded cards into this pile face down and preventing other players who are still in the game from seeing what hand you had.
You will sometimes hear this term when players are talking about hands. For example, a player might say: “I tried bluffing on the river, but he raised my bet, I sent my cards straight into the muck without any acting.”
