Flop Meaning – First Three Community Cards Dealt in Texas Hold’em
Flop is a gambling term mostly used in poker, referring to the first three cards revealed in community card poker variations.
In poker versions like Texas Hold’em, the flop follows the first betting round and produces three community cards players can use to form their best hand.
Apart from the flop, there’s also the turn, which reveals one card, and the river, which reveals one more community card.
The term flop can also be used as a verb. In this case, when a player flops their hand, they’ve made a hand of their two hole cards and the first three community cards on the board.
