Call Meaning – The Action of Matching the Bet by Another Player
The term “call” is mostly used in poker and refers to the action of one player accepting the bet that the previous player placed before them.
Calling is one of the main gameplay elements of every poker game, in addition to betting, checking, raising, and folding.
For example, you’re playing a poker game and everyone around the table pays the big blind for $20 until one player raises to $50.
Once it’s your turn to play, you need to decide whether you want to accept the newly changed bet and call or want no part of it and fold.
