Community Cards Meaning โ Common Cards Used by All Players to Make Their Hands
A community card is a shared card on the board that can be used by any player to make their strongest possible hand.
Itโs mostly used in community card poker variations. In each variation, the dealer shares these community cards face-up on the table, and the full set of cards on the table is called a board.
For example, in Texas Holdโem poker, there are five community cards players can combine with their two hole cards to make the strongest possible hand in a given situation.
The community cards are unveiled in three phases. During the โflopโ phase, the dealer reveals the first three cards.
After that, during the โturnโ phase, the dealer puts an additional card on the board. Lastly, during the โriverโ phase, the dealer puts up the fifth and last card.
