Floorman Description – A Person in Charge of Running Casino Games
A floorman is the casino or card room employee whose job is to make sure everything plays out according to the house’s rules.
The floorman should have extensive knowledge of the casino game they’re tasked with overseeing, as they need to make the right ruling if the situation requires their intervention.
For example, if the dealer accidentally mucks a player’s card in a game of Texas Hold’em poker, the player who thinks this mistake negatively impacts them can call for the floorman.
The floorman will then make the final decision by trying to retrieve the mucked card or declaring the mucked hand dead.
