Made Hand Description – A Poker Hand That Requires No Draws to Improve
A made hand holds a value of a pair or higher. This term is mostly used in community poker variations to describe situations in which a player already has a made hand by holding a pocket pair even before the community cards are up.
It’s the opposite of a drawing hand, a hand that still needs the right card to improve.
For instance, a player holding pocket twos before the flop already has a made hand. This doesn’t guarantee that the situation will unfold in their direction on later streets. It just means that they do not require a draw to be made at this point.
