Off-suit Meaning – Holding Cards of Different, Non-matching Suits
Most commonly used in poker, an off-suit hand is made up of different suits. It’s the opposite of a suited hand.
It refers to two cards that aren’t of matching suits. If there are more than two cards of different suits, it’s called a rainbow.
For example, if you get dealt a Kc – Qs, you’re dealt a King-Queen offsuit, as one is in clubs and the other is in spades. Oppositely, if you get a Kc-Qc, you have a suited hand.
