Outside Bets Description – Popular Low-risk Bets on Roulette Wheel
Outside bets are the second main type of bets in roulette, besides inside bets. They cover a group of bets you can make when playing this wheel-based game.
More specifically, outside bets cover bigger groups of roulette numbers, including a third or a half of the total numbers on the wheel. However, 0 and 00 don’t pay out for any outside bet.
Outside bets include dozens, column bets, red/black, even/odd, and low/high bets. As they cover more numbers, outside roulette bets offer noticeably smaller payouts than inside bets.
For example, if you were to make a column bet, you’re placing your bet on one of the three columns, each including twelve numbers. This gives you twelve potential winning pockets and pays out 2:1.
