Pit Meaning – A Casino Area Where Particular Game Is Played

The pit is a specific area of the casino in which a particular game is played. The casino can have more than one pit, provided it has enough room for it.

The casino pit typically includes table games like blackjack, roulette, craps, and others.

All of these games are generally arranged in two rows of back-to-back tables. The space in the center, between all of the tables, is restricted to casino personnel only. This type of layout allows casinos to smoothly oversee and organize all of the tables in the pit.
