Slot Reels Meaning – Columns Containing All Symbols in a Game
Slot reels are an integral part of every slot game. These are the columns that spin when you play the game. Most modern online and land-based slots have five reels, although you can find games with just three reels.
Mechanical slot machines in the past had actual reels with fixed symbols that spun when you pushed the button.
That said, nowadays, everything is rendered by microprocessors and software, so none of the reels actually have pre-assigned symbols on them.
Instead, the symbols on the reels are determined randomly by RNG (Random Number Generator) software.
