Texas Hold’em poker is the most popular poker variation in the world. It’s featured in every major poker tournament globally and has the largest player base of all poker variants. Texas Hold’em is very simple to learn but takes years to master.
The game uses a standard 52-card deck and standard card rankings from 2 to A. It’s a community card poker game, meaning that each player can combine their hole cards with the shared community cards to make the best hand.
Each Texas Hold’em player gets two hole cards, and the five community cards are put up on the board in three rounds.
The first stage reveals three cards and is called the flop. The second reveals an additional card and is called the turn. Lastly, the fifth community card is called the river.
