Underpair Meaning – A Pair Lower Than the Lowest Community Card
An undepair is a common poker slang term in community card variations. It refers to a pocket pair of lower value than the lowest-valued community card on the board.
For example, if you have pocket deuces and the community board after the flop reads 3, 7, 9, you have an underpair. Any player with a 3, 7, or 9 in the hole has a stronger pair than you.
