Cage is a casino jargon term that refers to the area where the cashiers are located in a land-based casino.

Cages are called this in part because they store a lot of money. So, casinos always make sure that these places are locked up and as safe as they can be.

For example, if you’re gambling in a casino and someone asks you to point them to the cage, you’ll know that they’re asking you to show them where they can exchange their money for casino chips.
