Rank Meaning – Term Used to Describe Values of Cards & Poker Hands
The gambling term rank refers to the ranking of the cards from highest to lowest, based on their face value and numeric value.
The standard card rank in casino games is A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
Additionally, “rank” can mean the valuation of specific hands from strongest to weakest. In this context, the term is primarily used in poker. For example three of a kind is a higher-ranked hand than two pair.
