Cap Meaning – The Maximum Number of Bets or the Highest Allowed Bet Amount
A cap is a limit placed by the game’s organizer on certain aspects of the game. This feature exists in both online and land-based casinos.
It’s a useful rule, as it keeps the game in check and prevents the bets from getting out of hand or the round going on for too long.
For example, if a poker table has a cap of four raises, it means that in each given round, there could only be four raises.
